I was there last night for the world premiere of Death Kappa, my mom won a pair of tickets to it through SciFi Japan. It was interesting, corny, and fun. It didn't have one set direction, but was overall alright. One for the DVD collection. Wasn't an extravagant premiere, but it was an honor to be there, and I feel classy knowing that I've been to one. Was anyone else there?

Nice! Glad you enjoyed the film and congrats to your mom for winning a pair of tickets! I won tickets to see Gehara the long haired monster & Monster X Strikes Back last year. Gehara was done by the same director I believe which brought back lots of Kaiju memories from the 60s. I go this year cause it was a 12am show and I don't know anyone interested in seeing the movie with me. :(

I also met the producer. The audience really had a great time.

Apparently this will be shown this Sunday at G-Fest (not at the Pickwick, on a smaller screen in the convention center). If I'm still there by that time, I might check it out.

I swear, if THIS turns out to be true, I'll....I dunno, but I'll do SOMETHING to show my extreme disgust.

Cool! That must have been neat. I remember at G-FEST 2000 I was one of the first people in line (maybe second) and met VinylMadness Jean in person! After we were allowed into the theater, SPFX director Koichi Kawakita, Heisei G-suit actor Kenpachiro Satsuma, and actress Megumi Odaka were in the audience and sat in the row in front of me & my cousin!!! It was really neat and I really wished I knew some Japanese back then....

Cool, try to check it out if you can! Gehara was really neat and I'm sure Death Kappa is pretty good too.
